Bridal Makeup FAQs
When should I schedule my trial?
You should book a consultation before you book your trial, this way the trial will run smoothly. You can book your consultation whenever is convenient for you. However, for your trial I recommend booking about 4-6 weeks before your wedding date. This way your skin will be in a similar condition on your trial day as your wedding day.
What is the Difference Between the Consultation and trial?
The consultation is where we will discuss wedding details and makeup looks. This can be done in person or via video chat. Your trial is where we get to try the makeup looks we discussed during the trial, and see what works best.
What is a consultation?
It’s our first date! Your consultation is where we’ll meet up and talk all things wedding! If for some reason we can’t meet up we can always video chat. We’ll discuss everything from venue, bridal party, color scheme, time for your ceremony, etc. I’ll also give you a copy of my prices and have you go over my contract. We will also go over how you want your makeup to look. Don’t forget BRING PHOTOS! Photos of everything you already have for your wedding, your dress, bridesmaids dresses, color swatches can be very helpful. Also bring photos you like of yourself and some celebrity red carpet looks you like. Try to stay away from social media photos because you never know how much editing is done and how the lighting is in those photos. feel like you’re ready to schedule your consultation? Send me an email!
Do you work in a salon?
Nope! I’m a freelance makeup artist.
Do you offer airbrush?
I do not offer airbrush. I feel like I can get the same airbrushed look and all day results without the machine.
Do you do bridal hair also?
Currently I’m working as a bridal makeup artist. If you are looking for a hairstylist I’m glad to send over some references.
Do you have a bridal team that you work with?
If you’re looking for a Hairstylist, Photographer, Airbrush Tanning, Lash Extension, etc., email me! I’d love to send over my list of references to you.
Do you travel?
Yes! Anything to help make your wedding day go smoothly. I’ll travel to wherever you need me! Depending on the location there might be a travel fee.
Do you offer spray tans?
Nope, but I’m glad to send over some references.
Do you cover tattoos/tan lines?
Yes. There is an additional charge for this.
How much do you charge?
Yay! You’re thinking about booking me for your wedding! Send me an email with your name and date of wedding. I will send over my rates and contract. Looking forward to hearing from you!
Do you do lashes?
False lashes, yes! Lash extensions, no. If lash extensions are more your thing, I’m glad to send over some references.
What products do you use?
In my makeup kit I use a mix of all different brands. Everything from Makeup Forever, Viseart, Glossier, Urban Decay, etc. If there is something specific that you would like to use just shoot me an email and we can discuss further!
Do you charge extra for specially requested products?
Yes. However, if you already own the product we can use yours if you’d like.
Whats your style makeup?
Skin! Skin! Skin! I want my brides to glow on their wedding day! You should look like the most stunning YOU. I want you to recognize yourself when you look back at your wedding photos 20 years from now. That being said my bridal work is on the more natural side. I like to even out skin, make those cheekbones pop, and make your lashes full! If you want your makeup to look dramatic like you see on social media I might not be the makeup artist for you. I can try and find another makeup artist for you. But if you’re still thinking of booking me we can always play during the trial!
Do you have photos of your Bridal work?
How far in advance can I book you?
I typically book at most 2 years in advance.
Do you do other events besides weddings?
Of course! Email me if you are hosting/attending a different event.
